Notice above, the original lime stone block foundation of the High Street Bridge, in downtown St. Marys. To the south of it between High and E. Spring Street is Miami and Erie Lock 13 north. The original lock was of wood with it having been replaced after 1900 with a new construction material, concrete.
The 2007-2009 construction removed the former woolen mill which re-exposed lock 13. An additional grant is seeking funding to purchase the grist mill.
